Glancetron Professional Magnetic Stripe Reader

The bi-directional reader allows the card to be pulled through in both directions, which not only improves ergonomics, but also increases the speed of payment transactions. Since it reads all three tracks of the magnetic card, synchronisation with the application is unnecessary. The collected information is directly converted in the decoder into ASCII characters. You can easily program the data in the Glancetron 1290 yourself (such as convert information, replace characters, cut character strings, etc.) using the user-friendly Windows software. The Glancetron 1290 magnetic stripe reader is thus suitable for all systems with special requirements for data formatting or when only specific parts of credit or EC card data are to be transferred due to security considerations.

Connecting the Glancetron 1290 is extremely flexible: the reader is compatible with all standard interfaces, only an additional cable for meeting specific requirements may have to be ordered. Along with a serial cable and keyboard wedge cable, two cable versions for the USB interface are also available. Here you either use the KBW or RS232 emulation versions. In this case, you benefit from the advantages of a USB interface and simulate the transfer via keyboard wedge or serial port.

In order to be able to adapt perfectly to the diverse requirements in POS, gastronomic and medical areas, the scanner is available in either black and white.
