The Metapace S-1 offers not only first-class design for high-quality 1D laser scanning, user-friendly ergonomics and durability, but more importantly an immediately useable complete package at an enormously favourable price. It is completely tailored to the requirements of smaller companies and additionally expands the functionality of the work place: with the included USB hub you supply yourself with additional straightforward USB hardware that also saves you the hassle of additional adaptors. The S-1 features a high performance and functionality that reduces input errors and significantly increases production in daily use at the POS station. Through its favourable price and easy installation, it is suited for many areas of application, e.g. for gift shops, boutiques, jeweller’s shops, video shops and many other retail segments. However, its robustness and the simple handability also make it interesting for applications in workshops, laboratories, chemists’ shops, or in offices.

The Metapace S-1 reads all standard 1D barcodes, fulfilling all requirements of trade and production. Thanks to its single-board construction and the robust scan unit, it withstands long daily use and the related unavoidable falls without a problem. The housing is made of impact-resistant plastic. In addition, all components are connected to one another so that the scanner is not damaged even after heavy strain by careless users. The S-1 is always reliable and ready to perform daily work, guaranteeing maximum system availability at minimal maintenance costs.

Through its plug-and-play concept, difficulties are eliminated at installation. All components for immediate use via USB interface are included in the delivery, so neither a driver nor special software must be installed.
