All models feature a bezel-free touch surface that utilises projected capacitive multi-touch technology that is resistant to scratches and impact for durability, making it ideal for public places and schools. Moreover, the touch technology works fluidly even with scratches on the glass.

The capacitive touch technology, which is installed in the iiyama touchscreens, uses a sensor network of micro-fine wires which are integrated in the glass surface. Touching the screen with fingers (or gloves) or magnetic stylus changes the electrical signals - which calculates the touch position and passes it on to the controller. Iiyama’s open-frame LCDs benefit from a built-in glass surface which is very durable and scratch-resistant. The monitors are certified according to IP65 standards, for protection against the ingress of dust and moisture.

In public usage areas simply lock all the operating keys to protect against unauthorised access. Via the existing interfaces – VGA, DVI and displayport, as well as USB for the touch controller – integration is a breeze. The power supply and connection cable are included in the delivery. 

Some models included within this series come with the added feature of palm detection. When the touchscreen is operated with a stylus, this technique ensures that simultaneous contact with a finger or palm is ignored. Palm detection automatically activates when you touch the screen with a stylus. If the screen is not touched with a stylus for more than one second, the touchscreen will automatically return to finger mode.
