Zebra RS5100 Bluetooth Ring Barcode Scanner
The robust Bluetooth ring barcode scanner Zebra RS5100 is suitable for both right- and left-handers. With its low weight of just 70 grams it is extremely light and may be carried around the entire day nearly everywhere. That makes it the ideal partner in demanding work areas such as in the warehouse, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, sales and field service.
The Zebra RS5100 is equipped with a powerful replaceable 480 mAh battery, which lasts up to 12 hours when fully charged, or up to 14,400 scans. For cold environments or longer shifts Zebra offers an enhanced battery with 735 mAh. In addition to NFC the ring scanner features Bluetooth support. Thus, it remains connected even up to 90 meters from the host device.
The Zebra RS5100 also reliably and quickly captures 1D and 2D barcodes, as well as OCR codes, thanks to an intelligent combination of imaging hardware, software and optics (PRZM) from Zebra and a powerful megapixel sensor. And in almost any condition – whether they are damaged, dirty or poorly printed. A clear good scan confirmation occurs via an acoustic signal or various programmable LEDs on the rear of the scanner, which also blink, as needed. An optional vibration function is also integrated.
The ring barcode scanner is also robust. It easily withstands multiple falls from up to 1.8 meters and is fully protected against the ingress of dust and splash water according to its IP65 certification. Plus, the metal buckles and nylon straps do not stretch, to avoid wear.
The RS5100 is supported by service contracts for the Zebra services OneCare Essential, OneCare Select and Zebra Mobility DNA offerings. Among others, old and non-fully charged batteries are recognized with the use of »PowerPrecision Console«.
