The HID Signo 40K T2 reader is a black contactless smart card keypad reader for door access control using card or mobile credentials with PIN-based multi-factor authentication. This exact pigtail configuration has a 3 x 4 capacitive keypad and uses the T2 high-frequency profile (13.56 MHz). It supports cards, fobs and mobile credentials through Bluetooth Low Energy and NFC, including Apple Wallet via Enhanced Contactless Polling.

As a 13.56 MHz keypad reader, it supports Seos, iCLASS SE, iCLASS, MIFARE DESFire EV1/EV2/EV3 and MIFARE Classic. Host communication uses OSDP or Wiegand, with native OSDP Secure Channel. This mobile credential keypad reader is rated IP65 and IK07, operates from 12 VDC at -35 to +66 degrees C and measures 80 x 121.5 x 21.5 mm. Configuration and firmware management are available through HID Reader Manager or OSDP.
