Mastalib was developed to provide schools and other organisations with a comprehensive and low-cost solution to the problem of library automation.

Suitable for operation on a stand-alone PC or as a networked multi-user system, Mastalib contains full circulation control, cataloguing, reader and book histories, security features and offers a wide range of management reports. Mastalib is available on CD for installation onto existing PCs and networks, or may be supplied fully installed including PC and barcode reader, if required. Full on-site installation and training is also available.

A range of barcode readers may be used with Mastalib for fast and accurate entry of Student IDs, Book Accession Nos., ISBNs etc. Optional date stamp holders are available for some scanners if required. An optional facility is also within Mastalib to provide the due back dates of books issued as a printed receipt.

Data from existing computer systems can often be imported into Mastalib, thereby minimising the effort involved in upgrading or changing.
