CipherLab earns top three ranking in AIDC customer survey

CipherLab, a leading Automated Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) specialist for the retail/warehouse and distribution market, today announced that it ranked in the top three handheld scanner vendors in Venture Development Corporation's (VDC) recent customer survey in the US.

In the report entitled 'The Global AIDC Industry Business Planning Service 2006', end-users ranked CipherLab in the top three Best Solutions/Services Vendors for handheld scanners in the product features categories of memory, read rate, ruggedness and size.

Commenting on the accolade, Andrew Nathanson, Director of Venture Development Corporation's AIDC practice, said "We've found that a survey based on customer experiences and opinions is a highly efficient method not only for determining the highest performing products, but also for identifying products that most effectively satisfy the requirements and needs of the end user."

VDC has more than 30 years of experience in providing market research, strategic analysis and consulting services to technology companies worldwide. The end users surveyed in 'The Global AIDC Industry Business Planning Service 2006', represent a cross-section of multiple vertical markets, including the manufacturing, retail, healthcare services and transportation industries.
