CCD Barcode Scanners

CCD Barcode Readers and CCD barcode Scanners are ideally suited to scanning barcodes from touch to 5cm depth of field, with our entry level CCD scanners with 60mm and 65mm heads the maximum barcode width will be limited to head width of the CCD reader. Linear imaging CCD barcode scanner versions are capable of scanning barcodes at greater distances depending on individual model specification providing a cost effective distance scanner for all low volume barcode scanning applications including Retail, Distribution, Healthcare and Libraries.

Our CCD barcode readers are available with a number of interfaces allowing cabled connection to variety of host devices. For most PC and MAC users the USB (HID) interface provides the most flexible and easy to use, simply plug the USB CCD Barcode Scanner into a spare USB port (no driver required) and scanned barcodes appear on screen as if typed from the keyboard. Alternative interface options include RS232, USB (VCP - Virtual COMM Port) and PS2 keyboard wedge, if you are unsure please contact ERS for expert advice on the most suitable interface.

All our CCD Readers auto discriminate between the commonly used barcodes including UPC, EAN8, EAN 13, 2 of 5, CODE 39,Code 128, Codabar and Code 93, other lesser known barcode symbologies e.g Telepen may require the CCD to be configured to enable successful reading.
